Bodog Canada is getting in on the action of what could be the biggest fight in MMA history. Khabib Nurmagomedov will aim to defend his lightweight belt against former two-division (including lightweight) champion Conor McGregor at UFC 229.
This titanic tussle will take place in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, October 6th. There is a ton of history between these two, starting with Nurmagomedov confronting McGregor’s training partner, Artem Lobov at UFC 223. Then, McGregor threw a dolly at Nurmagomedov’s bus and landed in legal hot water. Finally, there was the press conference on September 20th, where McGregor got, let’s say, very personal with the lightweight champion. The second Khabib vs McGregor press conference is slated for October 4th, and that looks to be must-see TV. Everyone wants to know how Khabib vs McGregor will play out.
We went to H2O MMA in Montreal and spoke to owner/coach Richard Ho, as well as UFC lightweight Olivier Aubin-Mercier and TKO welterweight Michael Dufour. We got their picks for the fight, and offered $1,000 to whoever made the correct pick. Check out this video to hear who could make a little extra money betting on this massive UFC showdown!
