2018 NFL Playoffs Divisional Round

A home underdog and a two-touchdown favorite are both on the NFL playoff odds board for this weekend as the National Football League offers the Divisional Round of its postseason.

The home underdogs are the Philadelphia Eagles, who are the top seed in the NFC side of the league’s playoff bracket but will be hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday afternoon without injured starting quarterback Carson Wentz. That puts Nick Foles into the starter’s role.

As a result, the Eagles are set as 3-point home underdogs against the Falcons, and at +140 on the moneyline for the contest. The OVER/UNDER for the game is pegged at 41.5 points.

The Falcons were underdogs in their Wild Card Weekend matchup on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, but came away with a 26-13 victory to advance and face the Eagles. Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan completed 21 of 30 passes for 218 yards with one touchdown strike and no interceptions in that game, while Devonta Freeman ran for 66 yards and a TD.

Atlanta at Philadelphia is the earlier matchup on Saturday. The later game has Tom Brady and the New England Patriots playing host to the Tennessee Titans, and the Pats are set as large 14-point favorites on those NFL playoff odds. New England is also large -1000 moneyline chalk for the matchup, while totals bettors will find the OVER/UNDER for the game set at 47.

Like the Falcons, the Titans also pulled off an upset on Wild Card Weekend of the 2018 NFL playoffs, knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs 22-21 as road underdogs. Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota threw a touchdown pass to himself in the victory while rallying his team back from a 21-3 deficit. Derrick Henry rushed for 156 yards and a score in the contest.

Steelers, Vikings Pegged as Sunday Favorites

The two Sunday Divisional Round games then have the Pittsburgh Steelers set as 7.5-point home favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with a moneyline of -380, and the Minnesota Vikings set as 4-point home favorites against the New Orleans Saints, with a moneyline of -190. The O/U for Jags/Steelers is at 41 points; for Saints/Vikings it has been set at 45 points.

Jacksonville advanced past Wild Card Weekend with an ugly 10-3 home win over the Buffalo Bills in which starting quarterback Blake Bortles threw for just 87 yards but with one touchdown; Bortles also ran for 88 yards on the day. The Saints got 376 yards through the air with two touchdowns and one interception from Drew Brees over the weekend as they took care of the visiting Carolina Panthers 31-26 to advance to this weekend’s Divisional Round.

Heading into the Divisional Round the Patriots remain the favorites on the Super Bowl betting odds at +200, followed by the Vikings at +375, the Steelers at +500, the Saints at +550, and the Falcons at +650. The Eagles are a step back of those Superbowl betting favorites at +1400 to win the championship, with the Jaguars listed at +1800, and the Titans set at +5000.
